A community fundraiser bringing women, children and men together in addressing the issue of breast cancer and the needs of families touched by the disease.
Who: HERS
Breast Cancer Foundation a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization
committed to improving women's access to physical, mental
and spiritual well-being, especially women living with
breast cancer.
What:
The Annual KEEP
ABREAST–Walking Together for Her, a scenic 5K walk/run in support of friends and families facing breast cancer.
Why: To foster community spirit and support, provide community education and raise funds to support the programs of the HERS
Breast Cancer Foundation.
When: Held annually on the last
Saturday in September. The 2009 event will be held on September 26,
2009.
Where: Quarry Lakes East Bay Regional Park

Ways to Participate
Individual:
- Participate as a
Walker
- Participate by pledging a donation to a walker (walkers are encouraged to secure as many donations as possible)
- Individual donations
Corporate:
- Participate by having a Corporate Team
- Corporate Underwriting
- Sponsor a display or service booth
- Donate appropriate samples to be given to the participants (i.e. water, juice, power bars, fruit, etc.)

100% of Entry Fees and Donations
from this event are being used to benefit the following outreach programs and services of the HERS
Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. helping women surviving breast cancer and their loved ones.

Soul® - After-surgery bras, Softees®,
prostheses & more - bras for every woman sizes AA-N
- Threads of Hope: Monthly support gatherings
- Woman to Woman: One-on-one advocacy and support
- Web Site Memorial Tributes: Creating opportunities to
remember/honor loved ones.
- The Right Fit: providing post surgical garments to low income
and uninsured women surviving breast cancer
- Breast Health Outreach Program: providing public presentations
and seminars regarding breast health, etc.
